of how we got here
it all started
with 3 little dots
This one time, I got a tattoo in Vegas...
When I asked the tattoo artist for an ellipsis tattoo, she looked at me inquisitively.
“Oh – you know, like the dot-dot-dot at the end of a sentence?”, I explain embarrassingly. I mean, who goes to Las Vegas and gets a grammar tattoo?
Why ... you may ask?
Well, to me, . . . means to be continued or [you fill in the rest].
It’s also a really convenient list when you turn it on its side!
Unbeknownst to me, my future business logo was also now permanently etched into my skin.
My journey has not been linear
& I've learned that it was never meant to be
I graduated with a bachelor of Arts degrees with a major in Psychology & a Minor in Logic & Human Behaviour (a story for another day). Paired with a corporate marketing/events career of 6.5 years & a full-time solopreneurship journey of 5 years, I have finally started to understand my purpose.
I’d love to say I was someone who “had it all figured out from the start”. Who knew their purpose/passion and pursued it with ease. Truthfully, my entire path has been a series of changes in mind, pivots in direction, starting, restarting, trying, failing, & a general (& genuine) curiosity to lean into the unknown.
The capitalistic hustle led me to a pretty nasty burnout in early 2022, & since then I’ve been on a very intentional realignment/reclamation adventure to “find my bliss”.
In my search for purpose, the two pieces of advice I stumbled across over and over were:
- Find your Gift
- Share it with the World
As someone who has always wanted to do both of the above action items, I made the decision to set out on a path to purpose journey, which I’ve chosen to self-title Seeking ikigai.
This word (ikigai) is really like a treasure map. And, this treasure map can help you find your way to finding wonderful things about yourself that you can share with the world, and the world will say ‘thank you’ for it.

My Path to PurposeI’ve learned A LOT along the way (when I tell you it’s been a journey I mean a full on physical-mental-emotional-spiritual journey). The most thrilling outcome of this epic tale has been the joyful uncovering/discovering of the familiar truth & inner knowing that is my Lighthouse, my Northern Star, my Reason for Being.
Step one
Find Your Gift
I spark magic.
When I was a kid I LOVED everything to do with magic. As I navigated adulthood, I lost sight of this love and it became a distant memory. What I’ve relearned/remembered while seeking ikigai, is that I STILL love magic (can I get a cheer for childhood trauma healing?!).
Turns out, when I focus on what brings me joy & makes me “sparkle”, magic happens (aka. people come into my life, opportunities present themselves, clients come knocking, etc.). In the spirit of celebrating my magic, here’s what makes me sparkle:
Events
I am passionate about hosting events & planning gatherings centered around cultivating connection & conversation (& consuming delicious food).
Design
Space & interior design has been a long time passion of mine (an undercover lover, if you will) . I've designed many spaces over the years (offices, restaurants, event spaces, homes, etc.) & I'm exicted to create space for more.
*pun intended*
Dance
If I could have it all my way, I would spend my life dancing my way through. I'm ecstatically pursuing all of the rhythms & worlds of dance that I can get my toes into.
Poetry
Turns out...I'm a poet! (Whewf that feels good to admit). I feel like I've been holding this one in for a while but it's ready to be set free! I am a true lover of words & I have always envisioned pursing my writing. Time to lean in to this love & see where it leads.

Share it with the world
I create change.
I’ve always been prone to leadership roles. In any situation, I’m usually a quick stand out for going above & beyond. I can’t help it (it’s a blessing & a curse). I’ve learned to embrace it and wield with care.
One of my biggest strengths that I’ve also come to pridefully acknowledge is that I am a generalist. The statement “Jack of all trades, master of none, Though oftentimes better than a master of one.” resonates deeply with me. I am a multi-facted human who wears many hats & has a Mary Poppins-esque bag of tricks and tools. I help lead & drive change in many ways.
