Overview:

Have you ever heard that old adage that says “you should never talk about politics, religion, money, or sex at the dinner table”? Well – at our dinner table, that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about.

This is not your typical dinner party. We’re diving deep and getting into the topics that really matter. 

The Details:

Date: Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Capacity: 30 people
Venue: Wildroots Bistro, St. Albert, AB
Time: 5:30pm doors open; 6:00pm-9:30pm – Guided conversation and food service; 10:00pm “official end”; stay for the parlour ‘after-hours’ segment if you want

Goal/Why

The goal of this event: spark connections & cultivate change.

A lot can happen when people commune over food and conversation. As a believer that we are all more connected than we often admit, these events are meant to inspire change. Maybe it’s inspiration to start a new project or inspiration to take the risk. Maybe it’s inspiration to speak up or inspiration to learn more. 

You never know what a few magic beans might yield when planted with the right care. 

Theme 

Edgy/provocative/bold – diving into the deeper, taboo topics. The ones you’re “not supposed to talk about”: sex, money, politics, and religion.

How 

Through connecting over authentic, genuine conversation and food/drink

• Food is fundamental to nurturing each of these difficult/emotional/confusing/uncomfortable conversations (and lucky for us, our chef’s are cooking us something incredible for this experience). 

Feel 

I want guests to leave feeling like they are blown away by the level of detail, creativity, and connection that they feel at our events. I want to create a safe space to talk about big conversations. And I want people to feel inspired after our events to connect with others or nurture a personal passion.

Your ticket gets you the full meal deal – 4 courses, thematically designed and cooked “on brand” with each topic in mind. Our chef’s have crafted a wildly creative dining journey to help accompany us through the evening’s dinner topics. We’ve also paired unique drinks (think cocktails, mocktails, and more) with each course.
